MID

The MID function returns a sub-string of the input string, starting from the specified offset.

Input

Input2	Integer	Sets the Offset property. (optional)
Input3	Integer	Sets the Count property. (optional)

Output

Output1	String	The sub-string.

Property

Name	Property Type	Description
Offset	Integer	The character position the sub-string is to start from. The first character in the original string is position 1.
Count	Integer	The number of characters to include in the new string. If set to -1, all the characters from the `Offset` to the end of the original string will be included in the new string.

Topic

An error occurs if the Offset is set below 1.
If the Offset is larger than the number of characters in the string, an empty string is returned.
If the Count is set to 0, an empty string is returned.
If the Offset + Count is larger than the number of characters in the string, the sub-string starting from the Offset to the end of the string is returned.
